 Influence of the pulverized coal combustion technologies in power boilers on NOх emissions and loss on ignition (L.O.I.) in fly ash is considered. The special attention in the paper is given to the issues concerning combustion of Kuznetsky coal of the main ranks in different boilers of capacity from 210 to 950 t/h. At combustion of the rated Kyznetsky coal at TPPs, specific nitrogen oxide emissions make 1200…1500 mg/m3 that is from 2 to 4 times higher than the normative values depending on the boiler capacity. Thus, L.O.I. in fly ash can reach 25 %, that is also 5 times more than in the specifications on ash use in spite of the fact that requirements on the unburnt carbon are in most cases satisfied.

4.3.2. Influence of arrangement of the staged combustion of kuznetsky coals on specific NOx emissions and operational reliability of slag-tap boilers TP-87

Analyses of three stages of TP-87 boiler reconstruction at Zapadno-Sibirskaya CHPP are resulted. The purposes of reconstruction consisted in decrease in NOx emissions and increase in reliability and profitability of the boiler operation at combustion of kuznetsky coal of GR and GROK ranks. Technical solutions for stag-tap boilers of TP-87 type on increase in operational reliability and decrease in specific NОх emissions to the standard level are offered.

Influence of technologies of pulverized coal combustion in power boilers on loss on ignition (L.O.I.) in fly ash and NOX emissions is considered. In the paper attention is paid to burning of Kuznetsky coal of the main ranks in different boilers of steam capacity of 50 to 950 t/h. At combustion of design Kuznetsky coal at these power plants L.O.I. in fly ash can reach 25 % that exceeds the standards for using fly ash by 5 times despite of the fact the standards for unburnt carbon are mostly met. By that, specific emissions of nitrogen oxides without implementation of expensive DeNOx measures make up to 1600 mg/m3 that is also several times more than the normative values. The paper contains the basic technical solutions and recommendations on arrangement of effective pulverized staged combustion of Kuznetsky coal of unsteady quality for maximum reduction of L.O.I. in fly and bottom ash as well as for achievement of specific nitrogen oxides emissions below the norms without constructing the costly DeNOx installations.

Short description and main drawbacks of the K-50-14-250 steam boiler operation by fuels combustion with the vortex burner use In the production-heating boiler-house of the city Tashtagol (Kemerovo Region), related to Yuzhno-Kuzbasskaya Energy Company, LTD five K-50-14-250 boilers are installed. They are designed for hot water supply of the city and net output of steam for iron ore extraction mine. Steam double-drum vertical water-tube К-50-14-250 boilers with natural circulation, produced at Belgorod boiler factory, have a П-shaped layout and are designed for coal dust combustion. Originally the boilers were designed to burn natural gas and sour oil, however, they were reconstructed by the factory for burning hard coal.
